Useful for scans that require to access indicator values at a given point in time.<\/p>\n<p>Example offset&#8217;s to access different candles for a trading day (5 minute chart)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>[0]<\/strong> 5 minute close -&gt; refers to the latest 5 minute candle<\/li>\n<li><strong>[=1]<\/strong> 5 minute close -&gt; refers to the days&#8217; first 5 minute candle<\/li>\n<li><strong>[=3]<\/strong> 5 minute close -&gt; refers to the days&#8217; third 5 minute candle<\/li>\n<li><strong>[=-1]<\/strong> 5 minute close -&gt; refers to the previous day&#8217;s last 5 minute candle<\/li>\n<li><strong>[=-75]<\/strong> 5 minute close -&gt; refers to the previous day&#8217;s first 5 minute candle, considering a single day has 75, 5 minute candles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you want to access the <strong>first candle on a 5 minute timeframe<\/strong>(9:15-9:19:59am), you can select your required indicator\/stock attribute and then change the offset to<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> `=1`<\/strong> <\/span>as indicated below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-419 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/chartink.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/days_first_candle.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chartink.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/days_first_candle.png 308w, https:\/\/chartink.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/days_first_candle-300x284.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 308px) 85vw, 308px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Crossover Support<\/h4>\n<p>Days candles also support crossover\/below operations.
