Desktop/Mobile (a.k.a Web) notifications

We are happy to launch Desktop & mobile notifications for Alerts, they allow you to receive alert notifications across multiple devices (mobile/desktop) that has a modern browser installed (eg: Google Chrome/Firefox).

Please follow the below simple steps to enable these notifications:

FOR DESKTOP NOTIFICATIONS

STEP 1: Visit our site, chartink.com on your desktop/laptop.

STEP 2.a: You will be prompted with a message as below, click “Allow Alerts” to proceed. If the prompt is not visible, perform the next step.

STEP 2.b: Skip this step if you are able to see the above prompt. If not, search for the “Bell” icon at the bottom right of our site & click on it to “Subscribe” for notifications

STEP 3: Click “Allow” to enable notifications for our site:

STEP 4: Finally, visit  demo-notification page, you should receive a desktop notificafion, these notifications are enabled for all your activated alerts

Sit back and relax, we’ll show a pop-up(alert) on your computer screen once we notice new stocks are available in your screener.

FOR MOBILE NOTIFICATIONS

STEP 1:  Visit our site, chartink.com on your mobile device.

STEP 2.a: You will be prompted with a message as below, click “Allow Alerts” to proceed. If the prompt is not visible, perform the next step.

STEP 2.b(optional): Skip this step if you are able to see the above prompt. If not, search for the “Bell” icon at the bottom right of our site & click on it to “Subscribe” for notifications.

STEP 4: Finally, visit  demo-notification page, you should receive a mobile notificafion, these notifications are enabled for all your activated alerts

  1. Where user gets the option to mention alert in mobile or desktop only. Because when creating alert unable to see this option.

    1. We have just added this new option, to alert you only via mobile/desktop. You’ll be able to see this in the alert settings box

  2. Can i set an alert for any one stock when crosses a particular price?

    For example, INFY ABOVE 1370.
    I should get an alert (say on 1 min chart) when INFY price goes above 1370.

    1. You have to add then infy separate watchlist then create scanner but instead of selecting future/cash use watchlist name where you make. Latest 1 min candle crossed above number 1374

  3. After premium subscription how fast(fraction of second ) it will give mobile sms alert of saved created scanner alert..

  4. Hi Team, Would you be able to add current market price with alerts, i mean at the time of alert what is current market price, ex hdfcbank-2120. This feature is available in manual scan but in alerts it is not coming.

  5. Dear Akash,

    Will it be too much to ask for:

    1. Addition of dynamic population/removal of stocks in a watchlist based on the output of a scan.
    2. For nesting/scheduling of interdependent scans so that we can use output accumulated from one scan as input to another scan?

    If automated population/removal is too much of a processing task, please introduce an excel sheet based upload feature to update a watchlist?

    1. Hello,
      Currently we do not have this feature. We do plan on adding it in the near term. Shall keep you posted.

      For now you want to upload a large number of stocks into your watchlist and is a one time job, you may send us the excel sheet, we shall have it uploaded from the back-end.

  6. how we can scan to a particular group only. like i m future trader so i want to run any scan on future group how to do that?

    1. Currently we support only NSE cash stocks and indices. We do plan on adding others soon. Shall keep you posted. 
      ​We have added a segment filter that can be modified in the top-most filter that scans stocks that are in the F&O segment​​. You may select the same from the drop down menu in the first line of the same where is says “stock passes all of the below filters in “cash” segment”

  9. Since you don’t have TRIX indicator in scan, so formula for TRIX was made using EMA in a nested way gives totally wrong result. This issue has already been raised with your support team sometime back. Though there was an exchange of an email, but after that, there has been no progress in the matter.

  10. I have recently paid for your services. I want to understand what is the difference between the unique and duplicate alerts. Is Unique means that once a notification is shown in intraday trade that notification will not come if the trigger is activated again ?
    Please reply.

    1. Yes, you are correct. If you have set it to unique, once a stock comes in your results and the same stock matches your criteria later in the day, you will not get an alert for the same.

  13. Dear all, How to get an alert for indvidual scripts, apart from screener alert. Eg if i want to get a notification when a script (reliance) moves abv 2100 i need an alert

  15. When do we get to see an app for Chartink? Please incorporate WhatsApp alert. These are free and easily accessible. Sensibull has Whatsapp alerts and it really works nice.

  17. How do i delete previous day alert from desktop withing my chartink account, they are getting mixed and disturbing ?

    When alerts are coming too frequently on mobile via sms than its difficult to check one by one.

  18. it is not auto refreshing , i hav to do it myself , scan last run does not get updated itself , when i do refresh the page myself ..then the last run scan time gets change ..khud se nahi ho rha ..

      We are noticing this issue for older computers, mostly “WIndows 7”, as it appears your computer is updated with the latest patches for the new root certificates that were issued by our vendor(letsencrypt).

      May I please suggest you to try visting our site in another browser i.e Firefox temporarily, and let me know if this problem still persists.

  19. There are no options for Desktop Notififcations. i Tried in Chrome, Safari, Edge and in Mobile too. No BELL icon coming. what to do now.

      Are you verifying the same via backtesting?

      There are chances that the backtest results may not match with the alerts history if multiple timeframes are used in the scan, please read our for more details: https://chartink.com/articles/backtest/bactesting-faq/

      Backtest is built on the fly. If you are using a 5 min candle and a 30 min candle in your scans. Say at 10:15am, 30 min candle begins its formation, at 10:20am, the 5 min candle matches the scan conditions, now later at 10:30am, the 30 min candle also matches the scan conditions. In this case, you will not get an alert but the back-test will be populated for the 10.20am 5 min candle as this candle matched all scan conditions along with the current 30 min candle.

    1. Hello,

      Please share the link/URL of the scan for which you noticed the delay, this could probably be because of a scan misconfiguration which we could investigate and correct. Also, if you have any chart references showing the breakout/alert soon, please share that as well.
